Kew Gardens Wedding Photographer – London Destination Wedding

Maggie & Marijn live in London so wanted to fly in all of their family & friends from all over the world to experience everything London has to offer! With the majority of guests coming in from the United States it was the perfect London Destination Wedding! They chose one of the capitals best venues – and a personal favourite too – Kew Gardens!

If you haven’t been, The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew is a world-leading scientific organisation, showcasing the largest living collection of plants and fungi in its 330-acre Garden just 30 minutes from central London. The Gardens were inscribed onto the World Heritage List 2003, acknowledging its unique history, diverse historic landscape, rich architectural legacy, botanic collections, and position as one of the world’s leading botanic gardens for scientific research and education. It is an amazing day out for adults & children and also has some of the most beautiful event spaces in London!

We started the morning getting ready at The Royal Lancaster Hotel before heading over to Notting Hill as M&M chose to get married in their Church with a beautifully personal service with many readings and lots of music. If you are planning a London Destination Wedding – hiring a photographer that knows London like the back of their hand is always a good idea – especially when jumping between multiple venues.

Maggie chose my favourite confetti – the round biodegradable circles from Proper Confetti! They are just stunning, hanging in the air to create the best photographs!

After a drive across London in their vintage Rolls Royce we arrived at Kew. Next we jumped straight onto the golf buggy to go and take their couple portraits in Temperate House!

The next stop was the steps of the Palm House…

We headed back to the drinks receptions at The Nash Conservatory – a bright and sophisticated glasshouse on the borders of the Gardens. There was time for catching up with friends, family & of course more photos and even a sparkler line to lead the guests to the next location for dinner!

The large, open plan design of this venue makes it ideal for a whole range of events. From drinks and cocktail receptions to award ceremonies and beautiful wedding breakfasts! The couple made a fantastic entrance and took to the tables for the speeches!

After a beautiful dinner and moving speeches it was time for dancing… M&M had practised a perfectly choreographed number to wow their guests and then the floor was open for the night to begin!

I can’t wait to share more of this beautiful day but for now that’s their preview! All of my couples get around 30 images within 7 days of their wedding so you can enjoy a taste of what’s to come!
