I’m Poppy Carter, and I specialise in creating stunning, timeless memories for couples through expert proposal photography. Before the shoot we will decide everything from location to wardrobe to exactly how the shoot is going to go. You can decide to either tell your partner that you have booked a photoshoot, we meet, shoot for a short while then I can bring you to the pre-agreed location for the surprise proposal – after the happy moment we would continue the shoot. Or the other option is that I arrive before you at the pre-agreed location & hide then I shoot the proposal naturally – from a far. Once you have had a moment together I come over & introduce myself and we continue the photoshoot from there.

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, this 15th-century castle is surrounded by breathtaking gardens and picturesque views. The castle’s timeless beauty and rich history provide an enchanting atmosphere for a proposal, whether you want something intimate or grand. Imagine popping the question against the backdrop of the castle’s stunning architecture or in its serene, lush gardens. It’s a fairytale setting that’s perfect for creating unforgettable memories.
While the grounds do remain open to the public, due to the scale of this amazing venue, Sudeley Castle still offers a secluded and intimate atmosphere for couples who want a private moment to share their joy. With its expansive grounds, there are plenty of spots to choose from, allowing you to create a truly personal and private proposal. Other famous locations in the Cotswolds that I regularly shoot at include Bourton on the Water & Broadway but these are often over run with tourists and we have to shoot out of season to try to get a more private moment.
