Looking for cotswolds engagement photography? You are in the right place. Getting engaged is one of the most exciting times of your life and it should be celebrated as such! Every year I shoot 50+ engagements in the UK and Europe. From the cotswolds to London and everywhere in between. I know all the best locations and the best times of day & year to shoot at each of them. This gorgeous photoshoot was taken in Bourton-on-the-water to celebrate their engagement and honour the trans Atlantic relationship. They will be married in the Bride’s hometown in the USA later this year.
Golden Hour Sunshine
I always try to schedule these sessions for golden hour – the light is the most flattering of the day and the golden light is endlessly romantic. Most of the best locations in the cotswolds are also top tourist destinations so to get the almost entirely empty location we always shoot late and midweek. Off peak is always best and the warm October light was wonderful.
What to wear to your cotswolds engagement shoot?
What to wear is one of the most important parts of your shoot. While lots of brides choose to wear white or a hint at a Bridal look – if this doesn’t feel like ‘you’ then of course you don’t have to. I want you to feel incredible and love the look you choose.

It’s a great way for us to get to know each other and you can also practise posing together ahead of the big day. Many of my couples also use these images as decor at their wedding venue.
